he Journal of Dental Sciences (JDS), published quarterly, is the official and open access publication of the Association for Dental Sciences of the Republic of China (ADS-ROC). The precedent journal of the JDS is the Chinese Dental Journal (CDJ) which had already been covered by MEDLINE in 1988. As the CDJ continued to prove its importance in the region, the ADS-ROC decided to move to the international community by publishing an English journal. Hence, the birth of the JDS in 2006. The JDS is indexed in the SCI Expanded since 2008. It is also indexed in Scopus, and EMCare, ScienceDirect, SIIC Data Bases.The topics covered by the JDS include all fields of basic and clinical dentistry. Some manuscripts focusing on the study of certain endemic diseases such as dental caries and periodontal diseases in particular regions of any country as well as oral pre-cancers, oral cancers, and oral submucous fibrosis related to betel nut chewing habit are also considered for publication. Besides, the JDS also publishes articles about the efficacy of a new treatment modality on oral verrucous hyperplasia or early oral squamous cell carcinoma.

《口腔科学杂志》（JDS）是中华民国口腔科学协会（ADS-ROC）的官方开放性出版物，每季度出版一次。JDS的前身期刊是1988年已被MEDLINE收录的《中国牙科杂志》（CDJ）。由于CDJ继续证明其在该地区的重要性，ADS-ROC决定通过出版一份英语杂志走向国际社会。因此，2006年JDS诞生了。自2008年以来，JDS被SCI扩展索引。它也被编入Scopus、EMCare、ScienceDirect、SIIC数据库。JDS涵盖的主题包括基础和临床牙科学的所有领域。一些研究某些地方性疾病的手稿，如任何国家特定地区的龋齿和牙周病，以及口腔癌前病变、口腔癌和与咀嚼槟榔习惯有关的口腔粘膜下纤维化，也被考虑出版。此外，JDS还发表了关于口腔疣状增生或早期口腔鳞状细胞癌的新治疗模式的疗效的文章。
