Accounts of Materials Research （《材料研究述评》）主要发表短小精悍、具有作者团队自己研究特色的述评文章，或者前瞻性观点。个人述评文章（Account）聚焦于作者自己在某一材料科学分支内相关基础、应用或工程研究领域内的研究，并以此为基础进行二次创作，与读者分享自己的原创工作、独到见解与研究心得；观点文章（Viewpoint），分享作者对材料学科的想法，也包括一些对材料科学研究需求的思考和科研问题的定义。Accounts of Materials Research publishes concise personal reviews and perspectives describing recent research developments in all aspects of materials science and engineering.An Account uses results previously published by the authors to teach readers new insights and thinking in an area of materials research. Each Account is directed not only to specialists in the field, but also to a broad range of scientists who wish to keep abreast of the best current research in fields other than their own. Readability by the non-expert is therefore essential.In addition, Accounts of Materials Research publishes front matter pieces addressing the broader societal impacts of materials research and development.
