The journal also publishes Global Perspectives on rapid exposure, insights, critiques, syntheses and recommendations on urgent, timely and new global strategic directions, topics and ambitions in environmental science and technology. In addition, Highlight articles offer rapid publication of short opinions or news items of urgent interest to the environmental science community in real time. Manuscripts describing cross-disciplinary research or addressing emerging issues are of particular interest.
