Latin American Journal of Aquatic Research- LAJAR is the continuation of the journal Investigaciones Marinas (1970-2007) and is published since 2008 by the Escuela de Ciencias del Mar, Facultad de Ciencias del Mar y Geografía of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. LAJAR is an “Open Access” journal that publishes in English language, original research articles, reviews and short communications on aquatic science, which contain the results of research conducted in aquaculture or in oceanic and coastal marine waters of Latin America.The following topics are considered: Physical Oceanography, Chemical Oceanography, Marine Biogeochemistry, Marine Pollution and Toxicology, Marine Geology and Geophysics, Biological Oceanography, Fisheries and Aquaculture.

拉丁美洲水产研究杂志（LAJAR）是《海洋研究》（1970-2007）的延续，自2008年起由瓦尔帕莱索天主教大学海洋科学与地理学院出版。LAJAR是一份“开放获取”期刊，以英语发表关于水产科学的原创研究文章、评论和简短通讯，其中包含在水产养殖或拉丁美洲海洋和沿海沃茨进行的研究结果。物理海洋学、化学海洋学、海洋生物地球化学、海洋污染和毒理学、海洋地质学和地球物理学、生物海洋学、渔业和水产养殖。
